Website terms of use
Working terms for the biss.fi website and BISS services for businesses. A written project offer sets the terms for each engagement.
Updated: 7 October 2026.
1. Scope and customer
These terms cover the biss.fi website operated by B-IT (Business ID 2196002-7) and BISS services offered to businesses. Services are for businesses and their representatives acting for business purposes, not for private consumer use.
2. Enquiries and contract formation
Submitting the contact form is not an order, offer or contract. B-IT reviews the enquiry and may send a written offer. A contract is formed when the customer accepts the offer in writing. The offer or a separate agreement must state at least the scope and deliverables, schedule, price and tax treatment, invoicing and payment terms, customer responsibilities, review and revision rounds, additional costs, usage rights and how the work may be ended.
3. Prices, VAT and additional costs
Package prices on the site are starting prices excluding VAT. Each price also shows the Finland total including the standard 25.5% VAT rate. The offer and invoice confirm the agreed price and applicable VAT or other tax treatment. Finland’s standard VAT rate is 25.5% for most services, but cross-border business-to-business tax treatment depends on the customer’s location and applicable rules; the reverse-charge mechanism may apply. The customer must provide accurate business and VAT details for invoicing. Travel, advertising, paid tools, subcontracting and other costs are charged only when agreed in the offer or separately in writing.
4. Delivery and changes
The schedule starts after the agreement is made and the customer has supplied the agreed inputs. The customer is responsible for accurate information, rights to supplied materials and agreed decisions. Changes that affect scope, schedule or price are agreed in writing before the extra work starts. The offer states how the customer reviews the deliverables, the feedback deadlines and included revision rounds.
5. Payment and late payment
Payment stages, invoice milestones and due dates are stated in the offer or invoice. Late-payment interest and collection costs may be charged as permitted by applicable law. Any suspension or termination, payment for work already completed and related costs must be addressed in the offer or agreement before acceptance.
6. Materials, confidentiality and rights
The customer confirms it has the right to provide materials needed for the work. Each party keeps the other party’s non-public information confidential and uses it only to perform the agreed work. Ownership and usage rights in final deliverables, source files and B-IT’s pre-existing methods and tools are stated in the offer or a separate agreement. Third-party materials remain subject to their own licences.
7. Results and liability
B-IT performs the work with professional care and in line with the agreed description. No business result, sales, investment, search ranking or customer volume is guaranteed because these also depend on the customer’s decisions and external factors. These terms do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any agreed liability cap must be stated in the offer or agreement.
8. Feedback and disputes
Questions or written complaints about a service may be sent to katri.biss@gmail.com. The parties will first try to resolve disputes through discussion.
9. Governing law
Finnish law governs the website and B2B agreements for BISS services unless the parties agree otherwise in writing. Disputes are handled by a competent Finnish court unless the parties agree in writing to another procedure.
10. Privacy and changes
Personal data is described in the privacy notice; device storage is described in the cookie notice. B-IT may update website terms. Terms for an agreed engagement may only be changed by written agreement between the parties.
